Real-World Projects

Turn classrooms into launchpads for discovery

Meaningful projects grounded in purpose and mapped to the ARC Framework's competencies and skills — fully aligned to academic standards and designed to spark curiosity and connect learning to real life.

Grade 5 Wellbeing
Healthy Living and Personal Well-Being
Students explore the science and psychology of well-being — investigating how sleep, nutrition, physical activity, and emotion shape a healthy life.
Grade 9 Social Studies
Agriculture and Community Resilience
Students explore how agriculture supports the health, economy, and sustainability of the communities around them.
Grade 9 Financial Literacy
Social Impact Venture
Students design a social enterprise — a business created to address a real community or global challenge.
Standards Alignment

Any standard. Any framework. Automatically.

Whether your school uses Common Core, NGSS, CTE pathways or a custom Portrait of a Graduate framework, ArcMosaico aligns to it — so teachers focus on teaching, not paperwork.

ARC is also cross-walked with leading international frameworks — including the OECD Learning Compass 2030, CASEL, the Durable Skills Framework, and the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs framework — so you meet a global standard of rigour while keeping local flexibility.

Assessment

Assess skills development any time

Capture growth in the moment. During a discussion, a presentation, a project checkpoint — growth documented as it actually happens.

Where We Fit

ArcMosaico doesn't replace your current initiatives—it supercharges them

No rebuilding. No replacing. Just making the work everyone has already invested in more intentional, measurable, and meaningful.

Project-Based Learning

Project-Based Learning

Strengthen your PBL experiences with a rigorous backbone. ArcMosaico tracks the deeper cognitive skills and collaboration that happen during student-led projects, making growth visible and deeply aligned.

Portrait of a Graduate

Portrait of a Graduate

Transform your graduate profile into a living roadmap — move past the passive wall poster and map core competencies to a measurable developmental progression that empowers teachers, guides students, and connects the whole school community.

Advisory & Student Culture

Advisory & Student Culture

Turn advisory into the most impactful hour of the week. Provide the structure, reflective projects, and shared language that make every mentorship session count.

Financial Literacy

Financial Literacy

Integrate real-world judgment into the courses that prepare students for life after graduation. From financial literacy to digital citizenship, embed self-regulation and real-world judgment right into the curriculum.

Career & Technical Education (CTE)

Career & Technical Education (CTE)

Look beyond the technical certificate. Track the foundational habits, agency, and adaptive thinking that ensure graduates are ready for meaningful careers, not just a job title.

In the Field

ArcMosaico at Work

How one school brought the ARC Framework to life — across all three pillars, in a single first-grade project.

Global Groove: A Cultural Adventure
Grade 1 · Pleasant View Elementary · Central Valley, California

When Pleasant View Elementary adopted ARC, a first-grade class studied the cultures of India, China, and Egypt — then designed their own countries, complete with laws, currencies, and national anthems. What could have been a themed unit became a journey across all three pillars of learner development.

The Thinking MindStudents acted as researchers, synthesizing postcards, music, and landmarks to answer: how do people live there?
The Inner CompassChoosing their country's laws and writing its anthem, students articulated their own values and sense of purpose.
The Connected WorldA culminating Cultural Fair had students communicate ideas and respect diverse perspectives.

"All children are uniquely and wonderfully made. It's time we capture the full range of their gifts and talents."

Mark Odsather · Superintendent, Pleasant View Elementary
The Architecture of Learner Development

One framework. Every dimension of growth.

ARC organizes whole-child development into a clear, coherent structure — broad enough to capture every dimension of growth, focused enough to guide daily classroom practice.

One shared language for learning — from PreK through 12th grade.

Whole-Learner Development

From big goals to visible growth

Schools already value the competencies students need to thrive. The challenge is turning those goals into something teachers can plan for, observe, and track. The ARC Framework provides that structure. It organizes whole-learner development from broad dimensions to specific skills, helping schools connect their vision to daily classroom practice and evidence of growth.

Pillar 01

The Thinking Mind

How students question, interpret, reason, investigate, and create meaning.

  • Foundational Literacies
  • Creativity & Innovation
  • Arts & Expression
  • Meta-Learning & Executive Function
  • Thinking, Inquiry & Problem Solving
Pillar 02

The Inner Compass

How students build self-awareness, emotional regulation, resilience, and inner direction.

  • Health & Physical Development
  • Emotional Well-Being & Regulation
  • Identity, Belonging & Purpose
  • Personal Routines & Self-Management
Pillar 03

The Connected World

How students communicate, collaborate, contribute, and participate responsibly in an interconnected world.

  • Communication, Collaboration & Expression
  • Life, Career & Global Citizenship

A Child Is Not a Fragment
The Science Behind ARC

Built on decades of learning research

Grounded in educational psychology, competency theory, and future-of-work studies — built on existing knowledge, not invented from scratch.

Competence is action, not just knowledge

Competence is the ability to mobilize skills and judgment in real situations — not the mere possession of information.

Philippe Perrenoud

Understanding is built through experience

Learning becomes powerful when students engage with ideas, test them in practice, and construct understanding by creating.

John Dewey · Seymour Papert

Growth is developmental, not instant

Reasoning, collaboration, and self-regulation deepen gradually through guidance — the learning process matters more than a grade alone.

Paulo Freire · Linda Darling-Hammond

Learning should integrate, not fragment

The world does not arrive in isolated compartments — school learning should reflect the complexity of real contexts.

Antoni Zabala

One framework, many modes of learning

A strong framework supports individual and collective learning, across traditional classrooms and beyond.

Richard Elmore

Future-ready means creative and adaptable

Students must learn to use knowledge to solve problems that do not yet exist — through creative, transferable thinking.

Mitchel Resnick · WEF Future of Jobs
